Русалка плыла по реке голубой
Озаряема полной луной
И старалась она доплеснуть до луны
Серебристую пену волны

И шумя и крутясь колебала река
Отраженные в ней облака
И пела русалка и звук её слов
Долетал до крутых берегов

The mermaid swam the blue river
Illuminated by the full moon
In an effort to reach it
On a silver wave of foam

Rustling and turning, the river swayed
With clouds reflected in its waters;
The mermaid sang, and her song
Flew up the steep coasts
