Defeat and such a bitter end we have come to

Without the constant sound

Now my eyes are wide open but they’re still so delicate to this light
And we have nothing better to do
Than just sit with our heads tilted back towards the sky
As if to touch the heavens with our eyes
Would you rather believe there’s no one waiting for us?
To be here in this place with no voices calling out our names
I know the fear of god has grown and died inside me
